first blade

I have just joined the forum tonight there as I have just bought my first blade, 2006 with 17and a half k on the clock, just changed oil and filter for the summer. Is there anything I should be doing at certain mileage etc? bike has pretty much fsh so hoping its ok for summer.

Any info would be appreciated. Does anyone have a work shop manual for 06 blade they could forward or know where I could get one please?

Hi Willie. I suppose your service history within your manual should answer most of your questions but if you haven't got it then I think the following items would be a basic start .coolant fluid change ..oil and filter change ...Brake fluid change ..fork oil change ... Check chain and sprockets ...check brake pads ...general tighten of all bolts ..not sure on valve clearances but lads on here will advise ..oh and welcome dude .

I've got a PDF copy of the 04-07 service manual, pretty sure I got it from a link that someone posted up here, if you do a search of the forum it'll be on the site somewhere.

At 16k valve clearances should have been checked.. You right on that milage, does the history say it's been done?
