Well after 8 long weeks of waiting and looking at my Repsol 'Blade in my garage I finally got to ride it today now the insurance is in place.
What can I say, it felt good, huge, huge grin factor, the new rearsets were bang on and created a very focused riding position, all the controls are light and responsive and it goes like, well you guys don't need me to tell you :-D
Compared to my Suzuki, which is quite trick, despite its age, the 'Blade disappears once riding, in that I mean I have to sit back and look down to see I'm sat on a bike, through my visor no part of the bike is visible until I get down tucked under the bubble :)
The baffle free exhaust sounds superb, so much so I rode for a while without earplugs in so I could listen to the soundtrack :)
The one thing I did discover was the speedo over reads by about 15-18%.
I was riding along a 50 section keeping pace with the traffic and my speedo was reading 65-69mph, and I know from experience that doing 65-69 along that stretch is easy overtaking everything.
Going to do a few test runs on closed roads using GPS speedo to find out the true discrepancy so I can do the math and adjust my speed accordingly
I get the feeling I'm going to enjoy this bike lots :)

You'll probably find the previous owner has altered the gearing down a tadge (-1F +1-2R)

This will cause your Speedo to over read by 15-20%

No, the previous owner bought the bike new and kept the bike completely stock, it only has 5.5k miles on the clock, so if it has been over reading by about 15-20% then that knocks it down to about 4.7k miles in actual road miles.
Going to to a few test runs today as the sun is out :)
