Not good news Trev. Plenty of time yet to heal mate. Winter is only started up here as you know. You'll be back out and about in no time.
Gutted for you Mae. Hang in there.... These things tend to come together (no pun intended ) all of a sudden
Sorry to hear this Trev, hope you're better soon. As Colin says, winter's only started here, there will be snow on all our favorite roads until june at this rate And the Braemar to Ballater roads gone anyway
Tree there's certain pills you can take to help bones build (not little blue ones they do the wrong sort of bone) Certain vitimins, certain foods, see a bone specialist and they will give you the do's and dont's. I remember smoking stops your bones healing correctly can't remember if your a smoker or not. Other than that mate just give it time and don't over do it, protect it while healing
Not good bud, Braemar road getting rebuilt, one of the most devastating things about the floods, decent run out that way. I was once told by a doctor after an off ended up with broken ribs to take vitamin C, supposed to speed up the body's healing process. All the best.
Trev you need to enquire about hyperbaric treatment if there is a nearby chamber and your local NHS hospital will finance it. Nothing like high pressure oxygen treatment for speeding up recovery time, boring as feck but effective.
Hey guys thanks for your support from a now very sober Trev I had a Physio appointment today and she is going to contact the surgeon who performed the op as I've have been seeing his registrar! Who doesn't speak much and provides no information! Blood and stone spring to mind! The strangest thing of all no one seams to know what a Hyperbaric Chamber is only the physio had heard of one but did actually know what it did! Strange! Anyhoo there's seemly one at Leith in Edinburgh so I'll check that out! My Prognosis Ken just give it time to heal! I need to know if my arm is stable as I'm going back to work full time on Monday on light duties to be fair! I wont be riding for a bit my arm wouldn't cope with the lateral forces! But I'm on a mission to get fixed a.s.a.p! Thanks again guys for all your support and advice
Trev might be worth a shout gettin hold of one of those arm braces to give your arm some extra support and protection while at work!
Hey Craig I got loads of tubigrip and a splint from the Physio yesterday and she's talking about getting a bespoke neoprene support made for me but I've found Hyperbaric Chambers in Stirling,Perth,Edinburgh and Glasgow and dropped them all an email fingers X'd they get back to me with some good news.
