just thought I'd share my experience seen as I didn't find much when I looked I trashed the bearing on the input shaft on my 2011 blade so decided an engine was the best way so I got my hands on a 2015 low miles engine and fitted it it's pretty much a straight swap only difference was the neutral switch on the old engine is one wire but the 2015 engine has the gear indicator so I found It was the green wire for the neutral I cut the plug of and put a terminal on the green all sorted

Yes, can confirm it is a straight fit. I swapped my 08 engine for a 2013. I actually just stuck the OEM 08 neutral light wire on the pins in the connector on the 12 engine and taped it up real good. Havent had a single problem.

If you slot it on the pin, instead of cutting the OEM 12+ connector you can re use it later if you want to change to a 12+ clocks.

So would you say fitting the wires for the gear indicator is a possibility or not for the 08 onwards?
