Well, I've finally got round to actually shaking off a bit of the CBA syndrome and fitting a tail tidy. I'd forgotten what it was like to perform key hole surgery on a bike. Now don't get me wrong I used to perform major surgery on my and other peoples bikes. What a pain in the arse it was to just get at and remove the indicator connector block. Anyway I finally got at it and managed to remove the old number plate hanger. Then there's splitting the number plate hanger, to get at the indicator connector block. I must admit I did consider taking it in and paying but then thought no! I will not be beaten this is nothing compared to what i used to do. I think that was a bit of CBA creeping in again. I eventually gave up for the evening hopefully I'll get it completed tomorrow night, but probably won't. I'll need to see what I will have to do to connect the new number plate light, I am always a bit loath the start messing with the wiring loom but it looks like I'll have no choice.

Jeez, what's all the fuss about, took me 30 mins tops and that included crimp connecting the indicators and plate LED.

I don't know if there's a difference but mines an ABS. The tail tidy is Mustard Bikes from Tasmania, just to be different.

I'm obviously a bit rusty. Have you got any pics of where you crimped the wires and which ones you crimped, kickboxer? Pity you live in Ipswich you could've done it for me. I take it it isn't possible to use the original anti vibration rubbers?

Tail tidy is now fitted. I worked out that if I took the rear light plug apart I would not have to cut into the wiring loom. So I took the plug apart and crimped the new wires into the old rear light plug then reassembled it. See pic. Quality of pics not great as I just used my phone for them.
