Has anyone got a photo of how they fitted the grey straps from the newer kriega dry packs to the rear sub frame? As have managed to get some hooks and straps to upgrade my old dry packs

Tiz a faff and the luggage still rocks about too much for my liking and tightening things up further just bends the rear pillion seat upwards at the edges where the straps exit.

Fecked it off in the end and bought this instead, 500% better for fitting luggage to!

Cheers lads, can't use a rack until I extract the bolt that the lovely local Honda grease monkey rounded off when they fitted my tail tidy 5 years ago and I found out the other day when removing my footpegs

You don't need to remove the Tail Tidy at all.

    Piece of urine mate!

You only need slide off the rear plastic tailpiece and then you are provided with two off set adapters which replace the two existing bolts which face the floor under the rear subframe.

Once these are fitted then slide back on the plastics and you never need remove the plastics again.

The Rack's rear lugs then just slide under the rear plastics and bolt up to the adapters.
The front lugs bolt on to the Pillion Grab Strap mounts (Grap strap obviously is removed for this, 2 bolts)
You then can remove and re-mount in 10 mins when ever you require a rack so there is no need to ride round all year with it on if you don't want to.

Makes strapping luggage to safe as houses and steady as a rock.

In this pic you can just see the two rear bolts which go in to the adapters which are outa view under the plastic and can't be seen unless you look right underneath so they don't spoil any lines when the racks not in use.

+1 for the renntec rack, just bought an unused second hand one off fleabay for my euro trip.

As sinewave says I don't like bending the seat up when tightening the straps either.

Should also give me a bit more room to get my leg over ;)
