Does that not restrict the air to the air filters muff?

Nahh, they're just for show on this model. Fortunately the air duct is just above the rad on these.

What kit is that? It's something I wouldn't mind trying.. Do you just replace the single main bulb? Are they also legal heard they weren't?

Just bought one of these after someone (Gilesy?) said they were pretty good. Planning on putting it behind my LH fairing. Don't believe they will be strictly legal as HIDs are meant to be self-levelling, but I will be leaving it on for my MOT which is due in Feb/March next year so time will tell.

Yes I've got them fitted to both headlights.. they are very cool. I can take a few pics as my fairings are off at the mo, but they are just tie-wrapped up in the side fairings as Martin has also. The kit just changes the way the headlights are completely.. really bright and even lights up the road signs during the day! I've had mine on I think 3 years, passed the MOT each time but technically I guess I could see why some MOT testers may be an arse and fail it. I also bought a small LED side light bulb as the old one just looks yellow once you have the new HID kit up and running..

I have them on my 07, the 2 ballasts are the slim type and fitted nicely in the moulding between the headlamps, had to remove about 5mm off a little flat piece of plastic from where the manufacturing mould would have been in 2 halves.
Everything is contained within the nose cone, the only visible parts being the 2 black boxes but they tuck nicely under the clock/fairing support.

Does the rr4 have some sort of h4 to h7 adaptor? Just realised I cannot get that kit for my bike as need h4 sized bulbs for my head light assembly.. If I remeber right there was some sort adaptor on the rr4? I remember the loom had h4 fittings?

Picture of the LED Side light bulb I use.. very white like the headlights

Right hand ballast etc tie-wrapped at the bracket behind the water bottle:

from the front of the bike.. lots of space behind the bottle:

Left side - Got the tie-wraps snipped at present as I was removing my GIPro gear indicator. Again, just tie-wrapped securely to the fairing bracket:

Sod it, going to order a 2nd one for the main beam.

Can you remember where you got the sidelight LED bulb from Gilesy?

    It does.
The bulb connector on the loom is H4 and the holder then converts that to H7. You definately need a H7 HID kit as the H4 bulb is a twin filament bulb incorporating high beam for single headlight bikes.
