Just got me hands on a HM quickshifter from Daz northwest and very nice it is too, might as well be new!
Does anybody have any pics of the shift arm assembled with the strain guage. Do the threaded tube / screws with nuts on attatch to strain guage and shiftarm and rose joints. Infact any pics of the assembly the loom, coil plugs seem to make sense.
Oh yeah it needs to connect up with PCV.
    Cheers

Yep thanks guys. how did you mount the LCD module? And do you have to remove the fairings to get at the coil plugs.

Only goes to coil tops no need for pcv as its stand alone, you need to remove the tank and air box to access the coils

Shift rod picture below, my LCD unit is under the seat unit :)

The HM fitting guide says that I should cut off the connector and wire it into the PCV shifter terminals:confused: Whats that all about........are there any pro's and cons to your method apart from its obviously much more simple and sensible

Your reading the instructions For standard HM shifter. If you have a HM QS plus as Jamie said straight on top of the coils !

I have fitted 3 HM plus shifters one to 10 HRC blade, one to Ducati 1098S and one to my 13 Repsol blade trust me with the HM Plus you only connect up the coils with the SH harness supplied with the shifter and the earth cable to a suitable earth.
The HM PC (black not red) which is for bikes without stick-top coils plugs into the pc111 or you cut off the end and use the wire for the PCV as I had on the CB1000R

You will have to take off the tank cover, tank and airbox to access the coils .. Then you attach the SH loom to the OE plugs and back onto the coils, fit the shift rod and strain gauge, attach earth, I added some length to the earth cable to reach the main earth block and you should be good to go.

    Hope this helps :)

You need to remove the fuel rail so you can remove the air box, which then gives you access to the coils.

If you have access to the 08-11 blade workshop manual, follow details for removing air box etc.

Yes as above its all part and parcel, fuel rail, ecu etc come off to remove the air box.

You may have to remove the side panels and air tubes if you have access issues to coils 1 and 4 but I think i managed after a bit of swearing :)

Many thanks for all the help folks. I think I will be fine as I have had fairings off Probably the crux of all blade jobs:rolleyes: fitted full exhaust and headers system, had the rad off, fitted pcv and had airbox off to do filters.
Its just the HM instructions were a bit vaig. Anyway many thanks.:)
