fitting RR 06-07 Discs to a RR5

    Has anyone done this mod,was told it helps the unsprung weight and gives better braking!

    Just looked up the part numbers and they are different, but i don't know how though. I personally wouldn't have thought there would be much to gain from doing it. You would probably be better off changing for some Braking discs Braking Motorcycle Wave Discs or similar. I could be wrong and they may well transform things! Keep us posted.

    Yes the 04-05 disc's are smaller,the 06-07 have spacers for the calipar bolts.

    04-05 310mm 06-07 320mm lighter and more braking surface.yea just a matter of fitting spacers and longer bolts and there ya go.Was told this by a guy who raced them and said it helps alot.

    But the spacers from Mr Honda are stupid price!!............get someone to make some if you decide to upgrade to bigger discs or if your down sizing then save the spacers for someone else.

    yea something like £12+vat each.so will be on the lookout for someone good at machining!Bolts can be reused but they recomend getting the longer ones.

    are you running on track much? if so then it maybe something to think about,after fresh fluid,upgraded m/c,braided lines,better pads.

    if not,spend your money on something more beneficial

    Disc arrived,SS bolts ordered and getting some spacers made! have my braided line ready too.Jobs a good one!!
