Right I read about the flapper mod the other day and planned going back to it to read again but now can't find it !

I have the bike in bits so if I'm going to do it I may as well be now before I put it back together.
    Is it worth doing?
    Is it easy?
If yes how do I do it please?

    Cheers guys

Depending on how far you want to go with the flapper mod.

It is as easy as just disconnecting a hose & plugging it, or you can go as far as completely gutting the air intake (I got Arthur to gut mine :), left the middle piece to give the intake some strength though).

I've also got a 'how to' pdf file I received from a guy on 1000rr.net but don't know how to post it up, if you pm me your email address I can forward it onto you?

Right I have figured the rev problem as it don't sound like its doing 5k I was confused, i think when I took the clocks apart to attempt changing colour of led's I must have put the needle back in wrong as when I turn ignition on the needle goes from 0 to the far end then comes back and stops at 3.5 !!

Anyone have any solution how to fix?

Martin, its easy mate. There's only 1 grey pipe that goes to the flying saucer at the back of the flapper. I put a M6 roofing bolt in mine, good tight fit.
