I ride an 05 bike, and while I know services have been done, I'm thinking my suspension could probably do with a refresh. I have no way of knowing if anything ,has ever been done to it, in the way of servicing. At the very least I was thinking oil change and general check for worn parts. Is it worth changing the springs in the forks and on shock for aftermarket one's? May be Hyperpro or K-tech or even ohlins. I'm not interested in going on track, but I am what you might call a spirited road rider. Most of my favourite routes here in the southwest are fast sweepers and twisties. Appreciate any input, Cheers in advance.
I had the fork springs and oil changed also the shock serviced and set up on my 05 at Mct, felt like a Different bike. Think it was the best money I spent on it
sorry mate i cant remember, i would imagine it was there own as i didn't ask for ohlins or anything like that
To be honest what make of Spring doesn't really matter that much so long as u use a well known brand. Ie K-Tech, Ohlins, Micron, Maxton or the likes. What you really want to do is call a suspension retailer and have the right weighted Spring for your weight fitted. It then let's the forks/shock work in the correct band of damping.
