Hi im sorting a 4 day trip to France or Belguim his year , will be using channel tunnel . Would like some advice on where to stay ie biker friendly B&B an good roads to blast .
Use Ride magazine Luxemburg trip - 4 days, fully planned - just download the maps into your satnav. Ypres for the last post is good in Belgium - not sure what else mind
Brugge is worth a visit, if you are into WW1 lots of museums in and around Ypres and as Allbade has said Menin gate is a must at 8pm every night, but getting very busy now with the 100th anniversary approaching. If you do intend to visit the last post arrive mid afternoon and eat Belgium is good for beer, one bar I went to had over 400 different types Amsterdam also educational if you have not been there before and easily reached in a few hours from Calais. Suggestion...Calais > Amsterdam > Brugge/Ypres > Le Touquet > Calais (Home)
Just adding to Alblade's suggestion: have a look at Ride's proposed trip to Vosges mountains. It is bit further from Calais (350miles) but if you cross the tunnel in the morning, you should get there the same day afternoon and enjoy 2-3 days driving. Here is the link to the Ride's routes: http://www.ride.co.uk/Routes/
Try aeaventures, near Spa Francorchamps. English couple, great prices , great food and great company. Fabulous roads in the Ardennes and a tank in every village.
Thought about the ring instead? If I was going for four days it would be my first choice, roads around it are prity cool too.
