Almost ready. Leave on the 1st back on the 10th.

We are talking about trying to get to Castellane in one day!

Chalet booked in Castellane. Valve check booked for this thursday. New tyre on the back. Oil and filter changed. New chain nicely run in.

    2 fireblades, a ZX-9R and a ZX-12R

I'll even try and do a write up when we get back.

I did look out for you in june but couldn't remember which hotel you were in. I didn't see another Fireblade.

I doubt we will make it in one day but we might set out and try. I'll have my tent so I can stop whenever I want. It's getting back to Dover in a day which will be impossible.
Just trying to maximise time where we want to be.....not spending time on the boring bit getting there and back!

Likewise, we see hardly any uk bikes this year.... And uk sportsbikes were non existent.

Know what you mean, but we've done some great roads stopping off at nancy as the overnighter. Just have to work hard for it and get 2 hours out of Calais on the motorway. That ruide guide had some great suggestions tbh.

2 x a year though mate, not fancy anywhere diff??

Yes. We usually do the Cantabrians and Pyrenees as well. I just love the are around Castellane......and it's sort of doable in a relatively short time. It's my spiritual home. (Apart from when I got seriously nicked for speeding there)

If I live long enough to retire I'll spend plenty of time doing everywhere I can.

I know what you mean though. We did think about Croatia this year but figured it's too far away and too hot there.

Yep....done the ring a few times. Scarey but fun!

Ive only done Northern Spain....again because it's not so far away. The Pyrenees are great (you've probably heard of the N260) but the weather can be a bit iffy there, especially if you are near the atlantic coast.

My secret?.......no wife and no kids. 2 bike holidays a year do kind of keep me pretty poor though!

I've already read your report! :D

    Hi Ninja

Seems as big ask, to do in 1 day, split the journey over 2 days, and enjoy the more relaxed run down.

I'm doing similar trip, leaving UK on the 11th and back on the 16th;)

Over 2 days......relaxed you say?.....enjoy?.....are you mad?......That would completely ruin the fun of constantly underestimating how massive France is....never being where you wanted to be at any time and totally ruin the stress of taking a wrong turning and doing 30 miles in the wrong direction down another fucking toll road when you're already running late to get a particular ferry......and you'll definitely miss it now because you need to get more petrol.....yeah I know it looks like it's going to rain but it'll be alright...don't bother putting your waterproofs on...it'll be fine.....and there's no time to eat or drink anything...oh no...and that weeping fork seal is now getting worse and fouling my brake disc....I'm fucking soaked now you tossers......and my chain is fucked....sorry....Rewyr1 I was just remembering the last time I had unrealistic expectations of what was achievable in one day rather than two. I suspect we'll take two days. :D

Hope you have a good trip mate.
