Hi Guy's, Well following Matt's request, i'd thought i'd post up some pics of my garage, and especially FrankenDuc. She is the spawn of a fevered mind, and a love of the older ducs. Basically, i aquired this bike as a bog standard 996 bip and she was put into track duty right from the off. So as time goes by, modification follows modification, resulting in a very diffferent bike from the original. Even the standard engine was breathed on, but this is where the trouble began. I had no trouble getting 155+BHP from the 996 motor, however keeping it together was another story. So after one destroyed motor too many, an evil plan was hatched. It involved a complete 1198S EVO2 motor, complete with everything. So with a bit of heaving and ho-ing, it slotted straight into the frame, now a 748R item not the original 996. So add to this the following- 748R Frame Nemesis ECU Nemesis Traction Control Magnesium Corsa WSBK Swing Arm Magnesium hub carrier Magnesium Eccentric headstock STM Slippper Clutch Magnesium Yokes BST Carbon Wheels Ohlins Race Rear suspension Ohlins front fork tubes K-Tec front cartridges 23ltr Carbon WSBK Tank EVO Larger carbon Airbox 998RS carbon front subframe Carbon everything else! Brembo CNC Billet calipers Braking 330mm Discs Brembo Clutch and RCS Master Cylinder Accosato Throttle Akrapovic WSBK Exhaust System Nova Engineering WSBK Gearbox And lots more!! The end result is this- 171 bhp Circa 165kgs FULLY FUELLED and with all other fluids Mental actually! Pulls the pants down on pretty much any litre bike. But she does get used, and crashed, in anger!!! Next up is my 'lil RS250 Track Bike. Built this from 2 basket cases. Love her, but she don't love me. Last time out she nipped up, highsided me off and presented me with Titanium wrist and ankle. Hey ho! Next Up, the road replacement for my Blade.... The Blade she replaced..
