Right boys and girls I have managed to scource 2 BSB tickets from RAPID SOLICITORS who are sponsoring the Kawsaki time this season, the round I have chosen is Oulton park 9/10/11 August due to its most central location Donington/Cadwell were unavailable. Me and Ken have been in discussion on what to do em and it will be a photographic competition, rather than just the best modded bike it will be most scenic/arty with your bike in !!! if you get my drift. You post up your pics and then we will have a poll just like bike of the year... Ken has also donated his services to make a large print of your picture So once again many thanks to RAPID SOLICITORS,KEN and good luck to everyone.
Wow - great stuff - How about a theme to give it something to aim for - also I think the pic should be taken this year only - what you think?
yeah good idea AL this year,A picture of your bike Fez wi a nice background is what I reckon, what im getting at its not neccasarily the most modded bike.......
Dave and I pondered on the idea of giving everyone three weeks from today to submit an entry then make a poll for people to vote for their favourite shot over the course of a fortnight after that. In order to to keep you focused (see what I did there), I reckon it should be one member, one shot. Save the place getting flooded. Theme wise, we're not hugely fussed, just something we could put on the wall without being embarrassed or having to explain 'its a biker thing'. You know the kind of thing, correct focus, pleasing composition, accurate exposure. Photography's not that hard. Talking about hanging on the wall, I will donate an A2 print of the winning entry to the winning photographer. So no camera phones, I'm good but even I have limits. Before we proceed any further though, I have to say a huge thank you to Dave and especially his wife, the lovely (and far too good for him) Karen for all the effort they've already put into this project even before we start. This one is all down to them.
Really nice to see folk putting themselves about for the forum members. Let's hope this gets all the support it deserves. Thank you.
I would def. have tried hard on up Snowdon with the bike if I'd known about this - and also def. taken the DSLR - still, got some ideas while the weather is cold and crisp
I did manage to burn some photons onto the chip of the new compact yesterday. The bike wasn't in any of them though.
I'm noticing a distinct lack of embedded media in this thread. At this rate Dave'll be dragging up again and we'll be Mr and Mrs Kpone for the weekend.......again! Come on. Get your fingers out and get pressing the tit!
