As above guys, was thinking of getting a front headstock paddock stand for my 2011 Blade while its off the road for the winter,:Banane49: and for general maintenance, anyone have any advice on these? (are they any good.) Do you know off hand what size pin is needed to clear the front nose cowling.. Thanks Danny..
Most of them come with a few different size pins for different headstocks . Im in the market for one at true moment as well
I've found one from Germany on ebay for £40 just wondering if they're any good.. eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace
Thats the one i have been looking at .. Tell you what mate , You buy it and post up some pics then if its good ill buy one as well ha ha ha Im probably going to take the plunge on that one to be honest . It looks solid and a god design
I got one of the stfl ones from eBay. It's really good. Well worth the money, comes with 5 different sized pins, my 05rr uses the smallest pin.
I have the biketec one like this BikeTek Front Paddock Stand | Front Stands | Paddock Stands | Motorcycle Shop | Demon Tweeks had it on the triple and not for the blade. works a treat. the Harris rear stand I have is also a quality bit of work
That looks a good 1 Matt. Is it solid when in use ? Would you be happy leaving the bike on it for a few days ? Wloud you be comfortable removing the front forks it and feel safe that the bike would not fall over ?? This 1 looks good to Champion Front Head Stand | Front Stands | Paddock Stands | Motorcycle Shop | Demon Tweeks
the bike tec one is great and been used to told the bike for months when in the winter. I can sit on it as well. very stable and quality stand But If I had to buy one one I would go for Harris. the quality if first rate. more expensive but will last many years If cash is hard you cannot go wrong with the bike tec. But I would buy this myself https://www.harris-performance.com/website/acatalog/Paddock_Stands.html 8 down
I see BSB bikes on the grip on the headstock stands ,, Takes the weight of the wheel bearings i suppose
I've got the Champion one and it has worked well on several bikes but i've yet to try it on the blade as a friend has borrowed it as is rather slow on bringing it back!!
This is a video i made of me using mine for another forum. someone didnt beleive you could do it on you own. Front Headstock stand one man operation - YouTube Its the stfl stand and rock solid with the bike on it. The rear needs to be on its stand too otherwise the bike will fall over.
