    Hi,

Does anyone know what size spindle tool is required for the front on an rr5?

Need to drop the front wheel out for the new tyre fitment.

    Cheers
    Nick

do you mean what size socket? or do the standard not have a socket on 1 side?

if you mean the hex key size on 1 side, then you dont need one, just leave the pinch bolts tight on that side till you loosen the nut, then undo them to remove the shaft.

didn't have standard front end onmine so not 100% if they have a nut or not though

Yes mate I mean the hex key (usually round the 20mm mark). I didn't remember to measure mine before leaving her at my moms, d'oh!

Cool, I didn't realise you could do it without, I've always used the hex tools. I shall use your method and save a few quid.

    Cheers mate

I bought mine from halfords, only to find out that the shaft doesn't screw in, it just slides in so you can knock it throught from the other side. One might be usefull for tightening it up but I doubt youll need it.
