As we all know we have a very talented member goes by the name of Liam who kitted out most of the bikes on here with some very nice chain guards. I think it would be a shame to not make more use of his skills and keep him off pornhub during these difficult times :D

Something I have searched for in the past is a front sprocket cover. There arent many options for the blade so if there is enough interest we might be able to have Liam put something together for us!

Something similar to the below, obviously design/price etc to be looked at by Liam.

I for sure would take one of those! Can see it being fairly expensive for material cost though.

Of course we all need one of these to monitor how our front sprockets are wearing.

I dont use a sprocket cover at the minute as it always collected loads of dirt and the oem one isn't the easiest to remove and re fit quickly. Be nice to have a more open one but also have the safety aspect of knowing I can get home with all my toes :D

If anyone knows this Liam you’re taking about @tuktuk stick your hand up :D

I’ve done one before for race bikes, obviously this one would want to be much, much jazzier, design but more importantly numbers affect cost, lower numbers - higher material prices - more machine time per piece (with setup) @Muffking has just taken delivery of some of my machining so I’m sure he’ll give an honest opinion for those who haven’t had a chain guard :)

Yum, Yum, that dirty chain is just pure porn!

I'd love one of these just to show off how dirty I really am (I mean, how dirty my chain is!)

This forum has given me such a complex about chains now FFS!

    Absolutely.
Liam is making some CB500 rearsets for me and some mates, they're mint. I've just fitted the first set that arrived this week. I can post a picture tomorrow of the gear shift side once I've fitted the shift rod.

    Gear side.
Liam did the plates to line up with the bike and designed them to be reversible. All I did was add levers and pegs.

Maybe something like this would be appropriate?

Never danced on a poll before.

I thought people would be loving the idea lol. Looks like it will be alot of hassle for not much benefit :( I will look for some riding boots with steel toe caps :D

I like the idea of a more exposed sprocket cover, but I’m running an 07 so I’m guessing that would be a totally different design/part

You can just cut out the middle part of yours mate, more exposed sprocket but still enough cover from the lube flinging

Agreed -what u are referring to is known as the Nickey mod (after Nickey Hayden) Draw a line a have a few hours quarantine quality time with the trusty old dremmel tool. You guys let me know if you want me to get some better pics of the sprocket cover. I found it from a seller on eBay and it looks and functions very well much like Liam's chain guards. I am sure he would have no problems replicating it. Also great if you want to run gp shift on your bike while still retaining a sprocket cover.
