Plan on doing some longer days on the bike this summer, so thinking of getting a small tank bag for wallet, spare thermal top, snack, whatever. (Little room in trunk due to Power Commander and toolkit)
Ideally with a transparent window on top so I could use my phone as a sat nav. Thinking that one that mounts to the fuel filler ring is the best bet.

E.g. Givi ST611 Tanklock Motorcycle Tank Bag 6 Litre (brandedbiker.co.uk)
    or
ION one tank bag, 5-9 liters - SW-MOTECH
    or
Oxford Q15R Tank Bag - Black : Oxford Products

Ideally, don't want/need anything very big (that 15l Oxford one is too big really).

Anyone tried anything like this on their Fireblade? Is the fuel cap mount a good idea, or a faff?
Any other suggestions/idea for products I should look at?

I haven’t on a blade but I’ve used the sw motech ones on my zx9, rsv and multistrada and they worked very well, seconds to remove and refit.

I had the SW Motech on the 13 and now the 17 plate blade and found it excellent quality.
Lots of sizes available and simple to fit amd remove.

    Thanks.
    What size have you got?
I'm thinking of the "Pro Micro" which is 3-5 litres... still looks quite big though!

I use the Hepco and Becker tank ring. I’ve got a couple of tank bags of different sizes. I also use the Sportrack for the rear. Not cheap, but they work really well.

One thing I like about the tank ring is that it’s really discreet when the bag isn’t attached.

I think mine is the 9 to 14, you really don’t notice them when you are riding, I’ve ridden thousands of miles with it fitted and it’s been fantastic.

I have the EVO Sport Bag.
Lots of room for stuff and you can position it forward or back when first fitting it.

    Update:
Went for the "Pro Micro" from SW-Motech.

Perfect size, looks good, very high quality, and the mounting mechanism is so easy.
