Hi all Trying to get the bloody fuel pressure quick connector line off my 2013 blade. The manual makes it sound so easy...I have got small hands and can't do what they say .Bike is in bits whilst I take a break......the end game will be fitting my hm quickshifter . Handy tips for this sodding fuel connector appreciated before I put my fist through something.
Ha ha I knew as I said its a right mare mate there is a black rubber puller thing spin this around to bottom this allows the green tabs to be pushed in . I then pushed with my thumb used a flat screwdriver to push in one tab at a time it eventually wriggled off you need to pull on the rubber tab and spin it from 12 o'clock to 6. I have took it off 3 times now it gets easier ha ha
Yep a right pain to disconnect. The push in bits have to be pushed in hard.Mine I grab the bottom tab first then use a flat screwdriver on the top tab and pull or wiggle.Easy to put back though.

Finally done it, no way could I do it with finger pressure only, had to use the flat side of a screw driver. Hopefully that's the hardest thing to do in trying to access the spark plugs!
Your right I would say it was the hardest part I struggled with that and like the rest used a flat head screwdriver
You posted this just in time, i am fitting my hm shifter tomorrow so its good to know i wont be falling at the first hurdle
I think it shows how good the forum is. My bike is downstairs , I have stopped for the night and have got to the point where I have to take the main airbox and trumpets off. I will do that tomorrow so good luck and I hope it all goes well. Just Remeber to have a bit of wood 40cm of 2x2 to prop the tank up or similar
