Fuel duty price cut

    Heard on radio this morning that Hawes is one of the places being looked at to extend the "remote area" fuel duty cut, where you pay 5p less for your fuel. I can see the value of it for locals up there, and those of us who visit the town for a butty and some bends on a Sunday, but i can see it causing petrol tourism for people who live less than 30 miles away and jamming up the town for the rest of us ! Mainly though I'm annoyed that having worked out the mileage and fuel consumption on my car it wouldn't save me any dough at all to drive there, unless I can convince the missus to move 25 miles closer!

    Call me a synic but im sure this lovely govt if ours will offset it sum how, so they will give with 1 hand n take it off ya with the other, still least it will ger en sum votes!!
