Guys, I'm wondering if anyone can shed some light, on my fuel reserve light.

All of a sudden the light has begun staying on when the bike is running, and then going off, when it feels like it. It doesn't matter what level of fuel is in the tank either, and it re-sets my tripometer as if you are on the reserve and need petrol.

According to the service manual, it says that If the light remains on, with the ignition on, then lift the tank and unplug the black plug and if the light goes out, then replace the fuel pump.....

But on my bike, the light goes out immediately the ignition is switched on whether the plug is attached or not, as it should if working correctly.

So it means then, that there is an intermitent fault with the sensor.

So, is the sensor all part of the pump or can it be changed independently of the pump and solve my issue??

    Thanks.
