    I have a 2012 CBR1000rr, had it for about 2 years now.
The only mod I'VE done to it was some LED headlights, and that was done within a week of me owning it.
Got a nice day today and took it around the block and while doing so, I lost my dash; along with the dash I lost my headlights and brights. Took off the seat and figured out the dash fuse was blown so I replaced it and it popped right away again. Put in a bigger fuse and it'll stay on, but it's not something I want to have long term.
My headlight fuse was fine. I'm not sure why the dash makes the headlights go also.

Bike has been garage kept, not getting wet, and I haven't messed with any wiring. First time this has happened since owning it. Checked all the wiring and connections I can see and nothing is standing out.

Anybody have any ideas what to look for? Is it possible the dash is somehow just bad and blowing the fuse? Why the headlights too?

I figured it out already pretty quick, figured I'll still post just in case someone else has the issue.

Bike already had a fender eliminator with a built in plate light, but the light has never worked and the wires were cut. Checked out under the tail and saw the wires were touching. Separated them and put the smaller fuse in again to test if it would blow and it didn't. Seems to have been the issue.
