Ok, this is my last chance to try and find out if anything like this exists, i have been looking all over the net for a hi-res colour picture of a 2009 Repsol blade. I want a 50 inches by 30 inches print to go onto my garage wall. I have tried Snapfish which will print posts that big from your own pics but i can not find a suitable picture with enough pixels to have one this big made up. Does anybody have any ideas or know of a company that has this sort of thing. Thanks
Can't you get a pic of you on the bike from a trackday or something? Dont worry too much about the dpi - if its a garage poster you'll be fine with a decent digital camera snap. It may look a little furry close up but for that kind of image, its about the impact no? Even billboard posters are usually supplied at 300dpi A3 as no one is ever close enough to see the degradation.
I have seen big canves prints on ebay but intended for your living room Give this guy a try Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade 2008/9 14 x 10 Framed Canvas | eBay UK
Cheers for those, i have managed to find one from Ebay, a very nice A1 (33 X24 inch) Repsol Blade, ridden by mr 27 Casey Stoner, a very nice shot with the usual blurred motion artifacts you get when travelling at 120mph round a bend !! Will look very nice next to my CBF600N .... in baby blue !!!!!! But will look just great when my 2010 Repsol Blade arrives in a short while.
Stoner rode the Fireblade for some publicity stuff I think. I read a brilliant quote from him... After ridng the blade on track he came in and asked the technicians about the electronics settings (traction control) and couldn't believe it when they said it doesn't have any!
That is a cool quote..... I will be informing my riding buddies who think that their GIXXERs are the best bike on the road
Cool quote, not too sure what it is, but it looks close enough to what we all can buy from Mr Honda, so that's good enough for me.... and my garage.
Hi Hudson I know this is too late for what you need but I work for a company that produces fine art and photographic printing for exhibition and Zeepony is exactly right. The software that we use can increase an image by 400% without even drawing it's breath and 400% of a 10"x8" image is 32"x40", so it's a considerable jump. When you add that to the extra "viewing distance" you need for a print of this size even the most modest file can look quite spectacular. Of course, the better the image to start with, the more chance you've got of creating a masterpiece, but you'd be surprised how good a silk purse from a sow's ear can look if you make it big enough. Prise wise we can't compare to what Dan found on ebay. Frankly that looks almost too good to be true. And if it was a White and blue RR2, I'd buy one myself. But I can do 3 A3 size prints on photo weight paper for £40 or 2 A2's for £45. I don't like to sound like I'm advertising too much here, as I don't feel this is really the place, but if there's a requirement I'm happy to help or even just advise. Have a look here to see what we do: Focal Point Imaging Cheers Ken
No sweat Dan, feel free to PM me or email my work address, which may be better [email protected] or give me a buzz on the number off the website when you're ready.
I found these two pics which are both high res so you could save them and get them printed online and sent to you as a poster as the quality should be good enough (eg by snapfish) http://free-motorcycle-wallpapers.co...ol-Edition.jpg http://free-motorcycle-wallpapers.co...-Sportbike.jpg
My kids took a 5 million pixel pic and ASDA blow it up to 30"x 20" they bought it as an Xmas gift for my office wall. I don't know how it would look 40"x50" but mine looks plenty good enough for an office or garage
On that note Costco do large prints for posters or canvas or banners for a very good price. I looked at a asda Canvas print and then costco and costco was about 25% cheaper for the same size. Only good if your a member though Costco UK - Join the Millions who are already saving!
