OK I want these Honda CBR1000 STOCK Motorcycle Protection Bundle CP-CBR1000-2008-CS-GBR - GB Racing Motorcycle Crash Protection - for that just in case moment. have been highly recommended but I have a daft question |On the left hand side their is a stupid plastic cover over the engine? unsure why? any ideas? And will I have to remove this to fit the the covers from the link? Easy? I hope so?
I fitted these a while ago to my 08, took about 20 mins. Not sure what plastic cover you are referring to though ?

You can get nice carbon covers, Akrapovic do one and you can fit it the same time as the covers. No sweat.
Hi Remal. The ABS Blade has a separate plastic cover on the left hand side that covers the engine casing. It is there to cover up some abs wiring under it. The GB racing cover will not fit on this side. This however is not a bad thing as the plastic on the abs acts as a protector in case of an off and is cheap to replace from Honda if scratched.
Well i might sell my R/H side as with the gilles mushrooms, they occupy the same crank case bolts - i'm going to have a look at modding this week but otherwise i'm happy to sell em if ur interested.
