thought i would do as the thread title today. everything going fine until i torque up the clutch spring bolts. que the jaws music. one snaps when i am nowhere near the torque figure of 13n/m. no probs, remove sheared bolt, replace bolt and washer. cool, after double checking the torque value correct at 13n/m i carry on. another one snaps. feckin pissed off now i recheck the torque value. 13n/m. im a mechanic by trade and all my torque wrenches are calibrated every year regardless. so i can only assume that the torque figure in mr haynes manual is incorrect. anyway nipped them up to my happy value. now quite happy all is well, i ATEMPT to replace clutch cover. what a twat of a job. give up in the end. will crack on tomorrow. fresh day, fresh mind, and i,m sure all will be well. incidently, can anyone confirm that the clutch spring bolts are torqued to 13n/m, or have i got a misprint in mr haynes bible? many thanx
