    HI ALL
Does anyone have experience of the GI pro gear shift postion indicator. This model comes with the added TRE which is supposed to help with ,QUOTED from page

The built-in Advanced TRE improves part-throttle response in lower gears. It will also improve low end torque at full throttle and disable the speed limiter on certain bike models.
all this and a gear position indicator

    see link

    GIpro a/TRE

TRE refers to a Suzuki restriction I believe - not applicable to Hondas.

yes on further inspection ,i do believe it doesn't apply to the Honda .DOH!. Still the DS version which plugs into the diagnostic plug under the seat looks good and easy to use ,plug and play

Yeah a lot of people seem to swear by that GI Pro thing.
    I think it's utterly pointless myself. :)

On my Street Triple it had a gear indicator and I quite liked it. I moved over to the Blade and found it annoying that it didn't have it. However after a few weeks I forgot I even needed one and don't really even think about it now.

Got an Acumen gear indicator on mine and love it. £50 i think it was and just soldered it in (too tight to get a plug in loom - save the money for some petrol!) Pretty easy to fit and setup, well worth it i think

Does anyone know where I can get the little plug & play connectors for the Acumen gear position indicator for a 2011 blade? They appear to be out of stock everywhere

    Yep they are

They sometimes come up on ebay used but the last 2 I have seen went for well over the rrp of a new one

That's the reason I went for a GIpro and they're also miles easier to fit than the acumen

A gear indicator would be great, what's the best for the blade?
Haven't heard many good reports about them ie lag on gear indication

The gi pro is your best bet

It's by far the easiest to fit and the delay isn't bad at all as it runs direct from the OBD port on the ecu.

I had an acumen before and they're good but slightly slower but it's never a problem.my être also harder to fit as usually some panels need removing to connect to speedo and they no longer sell the Fireblade 08 harness adapter so you would have to find a used one.

Got my GIPRO Blue fitted yesterday and it works great. Easy to set up and there isnt much of a delay at all. Struggled to find the red diagnostic plug for a bit as its a different layout under the seat for the ABS bikes. On mine, I had to unclip the fuse box as it was hiding underneath! I've stuck mine on the left next to the two dash buttons too. :)

I called down M&P last weekend and they have set up a temp show room and have stock in to cover existing orders. I doubt they will take long mate. Good bunch down there
