First ride out without a 100 layers on... Summer gloves, dry salt free roads, blue skies.... Just waiting for my bro in law and we are heading down to rye... Happy days, summer finally feels like its here folks! Enjoy!! Ps - say hello to the bank manager for me Dave - ouch!
I got the perfect combination of base layer/shirt/fleece this morning. Fresh but not cold. Out and back before too many biffers unplugged themselves. Just a frustrating last five miles behind a Volvo with, suspiciously, nobody visible above the headrest, that was maintaining the national speed limit for god's waiting room of 40 mph. Unfortunately, this went on right into the village whereupon she needed to stop in the middle of the main crossroads to look for somewhere illegal to park (and they say we can't multi task), probably while delving into her handbag for her "I'm only going to be five minutes" card.
Lovely lovely ride out.... Had a decent ride down the twisties to rye, nice cuppa and blast back. Picked up my new r3 "utility belt" then had a shandy by the canal. All very pleasant... Loads of bikes out too.... Finally felt like open season.
You know! Don't think I've ever seen a newbie kitted out so fly - but fair play to him, riding really well! Just don't tell him - his head is big enough as it is
Glad you and raff had a good ride out, I have not dared take the duke out before I px it on Friday, but then again spent all weekend putting up the new fence panels Looking forward to picking up the CB1R on Friday though so hope the weather is good !
I had a good ride out on Saturday. Went to Lloyds at Carlisle, then onto Hartside Caff, I actually got there whilst there were other bikers there for a change. Hot Choc with mallows and cream and a piece of flapjack, very nice. Then back home. 140 miles added to the clock.
