As per title, cant wait to get the beast out. Before I start getting a load of comments like "not a real biker if you don't ride all year" I cant be arsed with winter (cold, wet and dark) and my toy is purely for fun
With the amount of rain we have had I nearly traded the car for a 40hp dingy, no heater or seat belt so the "boss" said fook off.
Cold and rain not a problem, for short distances, but gets to you after a while (as I am sure you all know !) Here it is high winds and high tides that keeps the bike indoors. We have 10 meter tides in the Channel Islands. Coupled with strong winds they dump salt water, sea weed, sand, gravel and stones onto the coast road. Not interested in riding my lovely bike through sea water. If the wind drops and the tide has been below about 8.5 meters, then game on.
I took the GIXER out earlier....to have a listen to the new Akrapovic that I've just fitted....opened the throttle a couple of times, very very twitchy.....won't be taking her out again for a couple of months, really not worth the risk. Might take my little CBR600fx out though.... love that bike!
I agree with Tonic...not worth the risk as the weather changes all the time. Patience guys and we're all out!!
Meh, this time next week the R6 is getting packed for it's trip to Cartagena and I'm following it a few days later
