Well, after 15 years of not racing, the bug has finally got hold again. So, I did my homework and ended up with an R6 ready for next season. A good friend of mine is joining me (at the ripe old age of 65), so it should be a bit of a laugh!

Not a bad way of getting back into it mate :)

I'd like to try it at some point, but tracks are very few and far between up here.

I really like the idea of trackdays, haven't done one yet for a few reasons, possible thoughts of pushing my limits and watching the blade going skidding into a gravel trap? or the real reason, ill enjoy it so much i'd quit road riding, and just focus on them?

Trackdays are just superb. I have done a good few now on my RR5 Blade and loved them, hence deciding it is time to try racing again. All I would say is go for a trackday. Come down to Anglesey circuit on a day when they are running the full international layout and have a blast. Yes, you may bin it, but take time to learn the circuit, adjust your tyre pressures and there is no reason why you would bin it. The odds of binning it are higher on the road (oncoming traffic, crap on the road, other road users in general) and the run off is nil. Seriously, book one with No Limits. It will honestly be the best thing you will do. I have just sold my house and was going to put some of the money into a newer Blade, but I have decided to keep my RR5 and go for a race bike instead. You must try it:D:D:D

I am going to join the Wirral Hundred club as they hold the meetings at my 2 nearest circuits (Anglesey and Oulton Park). In terms of class, I am hoping to go into something like a senior open category. Need to find out a bit more about the categories, as there are quite a few for the 600s.
