Hi everyone Borrowed my mates gopro hero 2 for oulton. I already have a 4GB class 4 card, does it have to be class 10? Seems to video and store fine on the class 4 card. Whats the difference?
Iv a class 10 for mine, the lower class cards are not meant to handle the write speed, but as you said its working with class 4 , so u should be fine
Well I only have a 4GB class 4 SD for this gopro so I'll be dumping the videos onto laptop inbetween sessions.
Y.T. - bit of advice, trackdays are quite stressful - get yourself familiar with the GoPro in advance, how long it will film on a card for noting each session is about 20 mins, how will you charge it on the day, which resolution to use etc.
Cheers al, it isn't my first trackday but I know what you mean when you get all caught up in the comotion! I'm taking a laptop with me for charging.
The reason why I ask is that I have some cards still in their boxes as I only used my 32Gb cards on the Scotland trip. I need to get round to posting an Ad, but in the mean time here's what I have:- 3x 16Gb Class 10 (90Mbps) cards = £15 each via PayPal Gift including delivery. and 3x 8Gb Class 6 (20Mbps) cards = £7 each via PayPal Gift including delivery. I also have 9x 4Gb class 4 (15Mbps) and 8x 4Gb class 2 (10Mbps), but they're better suited to cameras.
I took my laptop and downloaded then wiped the card each session. I got a san disk ultra 32mb class 10 from amazon for 20quid
Uploaded a couple of videos to my YouTube account mate just need to upload a couple more http://youtu.be/Hnl3RKqd0nY
stick with class 10's heard loads of guys losing footage when their lower class cards failed.happens on my camcorder if I put a class 4 card in it.
