Been wanting an SP for ages but with having the BMW S1000rrs I did not want them both but bit the bullet and bought the SP. Done 250 miles since I got it yesterday and its everything I thought it would be, amazing.
That sure is my old bike .. She's a belter . Custom arrow giving bags of torque .. Nice to see lee at regal sold her.. Enjoy it buddy she's a cracker
I did 150 miles dry last night and it was flawless. Its hard to gauge against my last Fireblade that had a full yoshi, K and N and power commander 5 as its been about 8 months since I sold it. I would need to ride them back to back. The same with my BMW, I will ride them back to back this year. I don't know if its my imagination though but the SP feels better mid range and easier to ride quicker round the tighter corners. Maybe cause its just a different bike to me. Either way its feckin brilliant.
Your gut feeling is correct OP, the Blade does indeed possess better midrange grunt than most other litre bikes so does make it an easy bike to go fast on. First thing I noticed when I swapped to the ZX10, however once I'd experienced the Banzai top end of the Green Meanie I soon forgot all about midrange stuff!
Yes you won't believe the voicemail he left me about his wife well sold to a chap in Leeds guisley who has a sp
