Has anyone fitted a GPR 4 Steering damper to an 06/07 Blade ?

I have been thinking of getting one but do not know if removing the HESD and fitting the GPR 4 is an easy job and whether a special fitting kit is needed.

I expect there will need to be some sort of resistor or something fitted to stop the bike showing a fault when the HESD is disconnected.

So if anyone can let me know I would be grateful. Thanks in advance. Nigel

i had a v1 on my rr4 ... fitting was easy.. the gpr should come with the required mount to replace the hesd mount
i just wired in the supplied resistor

i think gpr changed the mount and you now keep the hesd servo connected (which mounts onto the gpr mounting bracket)
(this means you will destroy your existing HESD damper in the process)

Hi mate yeah i fitted one to my RR6 simple job to be honest take HESD off and the mount . You will have to remove the solenoid off the HESD and fix to your new GPR mount a 2 bolt fixing note that when removed you will lose your oil out your HESD and this will now be useless. Mine was a V1 but they use the same mount .
