Hello, as a new member I thought I`d reach out to the wider community before I attempt to fit a GPS Tracker to my 2018 CBR1000RA/S1. My first question is has anyone been able to obtain a circuit schematic as I am struggling to find one on the internet. The second question is that has any one already fitted a GPS Tracker to a 2017 - 2019 FireBlade S1, if so have you encountered any issues with the electrics (ECU) or battery.
Hi and welcome to the forum - my advice........ Don’t bother. It’ll drain the battery, cost you a fortune (initially and in subscription) and make next to no difference to your insurance premium. You need to be honest with yourself as well - If it gets pinched would you want it back?
Honda will fit one for free to your bike. Mine was just before they handed them out free, but was discounted down yo £99 fitted. They do drain your battery. They could also provide evidence for the prosecution as they record your route and speeds. Tge question as to whether you would want your bike back is a good one. I viewed it as a preventative so you would know if your bike was being moved.
Hi, I agree with Boothman that I would not proberbly want the bike back. But at least I could see if someone is tampering with it and since it will be geofenced I can disable the ignition remotely. Unless it is in the back of a van of course.
