    Hi Guys,

Considering putting a group buy together on the 'Racing Batteries' range of lightweight lithium batteries.

These are available in two types, a race version and a road version. The road version is designed to have more power to be able to cope with the things like lights etc. which aren't on race bikes.

Racing Batteries are the leading name in lightweight lithium batteries, they are used throughout the world by race teams in all forms of motorsport, from Moto2 to GT, World MX to World Endurance.

Using a Racing Batteries lightweight battery provides a number of benefits not just the major weight saving (around 2.3-2.5kg) on your stock battery. Because of the fact that they don't use A123 cells, the batteries are weight for weight much more powerful and also longer lasting. They are packed in a hardcase meaning the batteries are built to last in even the most extreme conditions encountered in motorsport.

Better still they are manufactured right here in the UK!

Just want to see if anyone is really interested, they are a bit more expensive than a normal battery but they have advantages and are becoming more and more popular.

I'll do two different group buy options, either with 5 buyers and 10 buyers, obviously the more buyers the better the price.

    Example of price:
With a group buy of 5
Road Battery Normally £249.99 - Group Buy Price £209.99
Race Version Normally £219.99 - Group Buy Price £199.99

With a group buy of 10
Road Battery Normally £249.99 - Group Buy Price £199.99
Race Version Normally £219.99 - Group Buy Price £184.99

    Any interest?

    Cheers
    Jonny

You're having a laugh Jonny? Why would someone spend £200 on a lightweight battery unless they were racing a lightweight bike. Better saving yer money, drink and eat less and have a good shit before putting leathers on!!!

No, serious offer as we've had quite a bit of interest in them lately and they're getting a lot of coverage everywhere.

I also know that there is a lot of guys with track/race bikes on here who it may have some interest.

    Each to their own though.

"...a bit more expensive"? Jeezus Jonny, they're expensive. Like the idea, but not at that price. 50 sheets would probably be my limit of something like this, as it'd just a for the sake of it purchase.

I can take a Stanley knife to the insulation on your coil pack if you want, Jamie.

A genuine Yuasa battery for a 'blade is around £100, so for what it is, it's a very good deal.

I've already got 10 buyers from another site, so no harm done.

    Cheers
