Gurston hill climb event this Sunday

    Will be non bikey but taking the kit car and a mates taking his Lotus.

    Gurston Down Hillclimb

    event on the day:
    Sunday 28th August 2011
    Speed Event, Nat A; the second visit of contenders in the 2011 British Hillclimb and Leaders Championships.
    Admission £10.00 per person, Car parking free, Children under 14 free.
    Gates open 0800; final practice from 0830; first class runs from about 1045; first top-twelve run-off at about 1300; lunch;
    second class runs from about 1415; second top-twelve run-off at about 1600.

    It's about 50 miles sound me me and the only thing keeping me from going would be the weather. at the mo it's looking like a dry day :thank_you2:

    looks great, Hillclimbing's one of the great motorsport's of the people and doesn't get the publicity it deserves. But maybe it's best kept a secret. Used to do a bit of night rallying and it got just a bit too popular and was never quite the same.

    I'm lucky to have Wiscombe Hill right on my doorstep and their event list runs all year round, everything from the Aston Martin Owners Club to group B monsters. Great craic.
