Got to tell you about a 'moment'. Picture the scene...... Rockingham circuit, sun shining, rider and bike all warmed up. Last session of the day. Wazzing around at a fair pace (for a fat bloke like me) in the last session, came to first hairpin again for the umpteenth time, toe slider and knee scraping on the floor, all is good in the world.... Then it happened.... I had a highside on the way out. Kissed the screen with my helmet and landed on my plums. Feet off the pegs and wobbled down the track. It wasn't a massive highside but left a skidmark on the track and my leathers (inside!!) God knows how I stayed on but it gave me notice to slow down. The session was red flagged soon after (for someone else) and they finished for the day. I've never been so happy to see a red flag. Anyway, all good, and lived to fight another day. Just need to plan the next one now..
GOOD save! Hope your plumbs aren't too battered. I never do the final session, just in case tiredness kicks in.
Guys you are calling it a good save, but instinct and self preservation took over. No skill involved, other than the ability to clench my cheeks very tightly - which I now an expert at. Kpone - did you mean that pun - if so that is top class.
Wow you didn't mention the near disaster Fordby and you were my track inspiration until this revelation I was impressed by how steady you were what happened once I had gone? Pleased all but your manhood is in one piece though, especially that beautiful Blade? Nice to have met you and David (Freedom of Choice)
Carl - it happened after you and David left. I still don't know how it happened, I wasn't going any faster, I was about a foot wider than my normal line through there but that's all. I keep telling the missus to help with the swelling but no joy
Bloody hell Brian, I bet those nice shiny white leathers aren’t so white and fresh now. I will be interested to hear how you explain the stains to the specialist cleaners LOL. Glad you kept it all together. Regarding the manhood, you just need to ask the chemist for something to take away the pain and keep the swelling. That was the week that was, we all need to claim down, to many offs, near offs, or mental freak outs. That includes me, L over heard me talking to mate on the phone about my “swift” run back down the A14 Sunday afternoon. I have been the look, but no comment yet. I feel like a bloke on death row awaiting his immanent punishment. Take it easy everyone; we have the whole summer ahead of us.
