I don't know if anything actually got arranged for this weekend for any of us Northern types but I think I'm going to be having a daft run up to the cafe again as, for now at least, it looks like the weather's going to be reasonable. If anyone fancies joining me?
I could be tempted is a few others fancy it, and the weathers good, and my other half gives me the green light
I am a Possible Just a request - can you add the date in posts like this - means people know which 'this sunday' they mean - know its obvious when you open the post and see date of 1st one, just an idea.
I'm still in if the weather stays looking like it's looking. I hadn't really made any plans about how to get there. Routes etc. Any suggestions?
Anything happening on this - could be tempted to head up from Manchester via Long Preston, Settle, Hawes, Middleton in Teesdale etc. Don't mind an earlyish start either - not daft o'clock but early enough to get away before all the shopping traffic builds - say Hawes at 09:30 for breakfast leaving south Manchester at 08:00? Anyone able to join?
plans changed - no longer meeting mate at Hawes - may still get out on bike in North Yorkshire - keep an eye out for a Rothmans replica with ventura grab rail
Know its very last minute but just arranged to meet Firebloke (Steve) Plans for tomorrow if anyone can make it are: Gisburn 08:45 - 09:00 Hawes - PennyGarth Cafe 09:45 - 10:00 Hartside - stop for some food so maybe 11:30 - 12:30 Not sure on route back from there - at a guess down to Alston, Middleton in Teesdale, Kirkby Stephen and back round that way - but Fire Rothmans Blade and a black 08 with standard can.
I'm planning on getting out tomorrow. I've been feeling rough today for some reason but I'm assuming that a good night's kip will sort that out. I'll aim to get myself to Hartside for 12:00.
Meeting up at Sherburn in Elmet Cafe for about 1030hrs , planing a ride over to Mablethorpe going through Goole then on towards Scunny , through Brig then onto roads near Cadwell Pk before getting to Mablethorpe then may be up East coast over Humber Bridge towards Brid befofe ride home , every one welcome
EPIC DAY Will post more in a bit, but met up with TheFirebloke as agreed at 8:45, when to Hawes, Hartside, Scottish Borders inc. St.Mary's Loch. Amazing view - the pictures will be stunning when I upload, time for a beer now!
