Im looking down grade my car guys I have 206 GTI 180hp at the mo which is a 2.0 litre and drinks petrol, Insurance group 15 so I'm looking to down size to a C2 VTS as i only really use the car for work, school runs on weekdays and taking my son out weekends . The C2 is a 1.6 and insurance group 8 so from what iv researched is cheap to run but still pretty sporty , Tiny i know but it is just me and my 5 yr old boy 90% of the time Just wondering if anybody has drove one to give me a little review or if any body has a little hot hatch that is sporty but cheapish to run and insure . Any comments would be a huge help as car hunting has been doing my nut in for the last 2 weeks
If I was after a cheap to run hot hatch i'd be looking for a skoda fabia vrs! I've never driven one but they get great reviews they go like poo of a shovel and return the mpg of a diesel being it is a diesel!! Plus the bonus of VW build quality and not french!!
Read the review on the vrs it says it all there, if you can't get passed the age old stigma attached to the badge you'll be the one missing out!!
That review is the C2 in general . Test drove a VTS this morning and it goes good ,small in the back but its just me and my son so the back seats wil become the boot lol. After that i took a 207 GTI out and that was awesome 1.6 turbo 175 hp but I'm back in the large running costs as i can't keep my foot of the floor in it lol I hate looking for cars .......... Im going to see a Fabia tomorrow as my mate spotted 1 today and he said it looked really nice so ill report back after the test drive
