Hawes and beyond

not many out today but saw a couple of lads on Black blades coming away from Hawes

 

I was at hawes today with the monkey bike covered 200 miles starting at Richmond

 

That's brilliant on a monkey bike
I bet it was a right lot of fun

 

I parked next to you, by the chip shop, there were two monkey bikes, one was red, was that you ?

 

Yes my pal, had the red sky team one next to off raisers at chippy was in cafe having poached eggs on toast

Yeah I was sat outside the cafe... Don't know how you do 200 mile on that, I couldn't get my legs round that for 10mins.

I didn't stay long, looked like rain and I had my one piece leathers on

That will be me and @Kevin1. It was a bit wet today, but still a good ride.

 

Can't remember where we passed but remember seeing a pair of black bikes and the back one was a blade

 

Well shutty I did and the best bit after I got the air mixture screw right was burning a load of sports bikes off from leyburn to Richmond just past Bellerby on the twistys they were not impressed when I past them ha ha

 

We saw a Repsol parked up in Hawes with (I think) GSXR. We headed to Leyburn and back and a Repsol on the way back warned us about a speed trap in Bainbridge.

 

I took the long way back via Kirkby Lonsdale. So that made two visits to Hawes and two visits to Kirkby Lonsdale in one day. About 180 miles for me in total. It rained a few times, but it didn't really spoil a good day out. @Manfred (Ray) managed to blag a free piece of cake in Garstang too, result.

 

Yep, that would be me re the speed gun. An old bloke stood at bus stop waved me to slow down, I wondered what was up with him waving his arms, I wasn't going that quick, then I saw the cop with his tripod
