Offence date 01/11/12 but only just heard as it has gone via lease company, work back to lease co to police to me.... Knew I'd been done at the time but 'hoped' got away with it What is annoying is road was totally clear, dual carriage-way , 9:20 weekday morning. I was doing 54 in a 40 that leads into a 50 then 70 (heading south out of Manchester on Princess Parkway if anyone knows it). Van parked up behind motor-way bridge supports where M60 goes over motorway I did the crime so do the time as they say, but 1mph less I could have gone on a course! Can't help but think there are more worthy roads to put a speed camera van on rather than a road where it is little more than a revenue generator i.e. one with crossings, by a school, shopping centre, junctions, near an accident blackspot etc. If this link works the van was parked just behind bridge support Google Maps
Yup it's an old haunt and gets its share of victims but who is to say that you were driving? After all its a hire car .
Work thing was totally different - this is nothing at all compared to that Can I ask for the photo to put in a frame so I get something in return for my £60 or whatever the fine will be
Yes I would say that you have done well to only get one hit in all that time but and I think the guys will back me here is that you may get another within 12months its just Sod's law .Check this out my first one was coming down from Fairfield hospital which is the Rochdale to Bury road and just as I was to go under a bridge I looked left into a road between rows of Tarrace houses and there was a Mk1. Escort estate with the hatch open with a plod standing aside with some sort of massive gadget in the back and as I past I could see some sets of clock like fingers jump left to right and just after out pops a plod with his hand up .Cant remember the fine but still pissed but had plenty more since .I have a Tale to tell which no one will believe so I will tell it at the breakfast meet for a reaction .
Unless they stop you then it can't be unsafe surely? Have a look at pepipoo website. Good for knowing your rights and if correct process is followed. e.g. When was the camera last calibrated? Had the officer been properly trained to use it? etc...
