Gonna watch the replies on this thread as ive just ordered a twin HID kit with a view to powering both sides off the main beam supply.

I've just fitted xenon hid kit to Si's and my bike, fitted the ballast in the nose cone in the area that was acquired after removing the vacuum expansion tank, pipe work and electrical plugs after doing the flapper removal mod.We only have one hid bulb active, the one that replaces the dip beam H7 unit. If you are going to put a hid in main beam you need to realise that they take a second or two to get up to temp, so are no good if your going to use the flash switch, and then the same issue will arise if your using them for main beam as each time you knock them off and then on again there's going to be a delay between switching and activation. The only other way i see is if you wire them up to have no high beam but having 2 dip head lights running, but i'm not 100% on how this would effect the dispersion pattern for MOT's, as i think this has more to do with the relector pattern rather than the bulb angle.

Many thanks lee, just thinking of having the HID kit on the main beam (one that is on all the time) just so cars can see me better as some of them drive like twats round here, so if i buy one of these kits will it just be a fairly easy straight swap?

Ya first stunt will be getting hold of the kit.

I emailed the ebay seller of Si & Lee's kit and so far, 1 week later, have been ignored!

This is cheaper, does the same job, and you get 2 of them.... Why not go halves with another member, as you only need one?? You need either the 5000k or 6000k bulb, h7. I got a 6000k and 5000k bulb, I preferred the 5000k as its whiter and brighter and matches the LED's in the mirrors than 6000k, which is white with a blue tinge.
