Anybody got a tried and successfully tested method of removing heat resistant exhaust stickers and leaving no marks or damage. Obviously being heat resistant the usual sticker removal technique of heating the glue with a hair dryer before peeling of will be in-effective.
Ive got 3 cans of this stuff http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sticky-la..._Body_Shop_Supplies_Paint&hash=item1c2c0051b5 So far its been used to remove my wheel rim tape and the model badge on my car, pretty good stuff.
Well I got my Akrapovic sticker off the exhaust by lifting an edge when cold then slowly peeling back . A small amount of adhesive was left behind and that was removed with brake cleaner.... sorted
Brake cleaner is awesome gear. Next door lady asked me in a panic once have you got any tar removing products as her new carpet had tar stood into it. I used brake cleaner with great results. Did you replace the sticker or just go for a clean look out of interest.
Oooo YES ... put a new genuine sticker on slightly further down . You see the sticker is a valuable aid that lets you know when its time to re-pack the wadding . When it starts to lift/bubble replace the packing or risk the baffle tube suffering terminal damage . Not a lot of people know that
