Has anyone ever removed heated grips??

I have fitted plenty but never removed so just looking for some pointers on how best to go about doing it.

Im thinking maybe a knitting needle and some soapy water and seeing if i can work the needle in abouts whilst i try and get water in there and hope they slide off. Main concern is the throttle one as it was a pain to get on.

May sound daft, but run them at full temp with something round them to get really hot - glue may soften and you might be able to twist / slide them off.

Just an idea and no experience of doing it

I use an air line for normal grips but I'm not sure if you would risk damaging the heating element.

Old mountain bikers trick for hand grips is knitting needle and hair spray.
