I got some oxford heated grips with my subscription to practical sportsbike. I always leave it two to three months to see what offer comes up and buy in store. Did same with pb and got an optimate a year or two ago. Anyway as I use blade 6 days a week for work I fitted these grips today. Would have fitted them a week ago but mount for control panel and screws was missing in pack. I went to Padgetts to get an oil filter and sump washer and asked if you could get spare bits for the grips I told him it was a add on with a subscription so i didn't have a receipt ect to go to Oxford with . 5 mins later he came back with one said it was out back in spares and its used so you can have it. Great . I got home and thought I'd call oxford told them I hadn't bought kit ect and they were not bothered. Posted me out a screw kit free of charge as well. Kit went on easy enough feed from battery tie wrapped to side of fuel rail and routed round side of air box comes to feedstock neatly. Grip wires joined to switch gear looms and connected up and stored in underside of clock mount. Job done .
I just missed out on the offer because I subscribed about two weeks' prior. But I do have Oxford's on my 2011 (previous owner installed) and I've found them very good during my cold rides. I don't think we can ever warm the front of our fingers, but these are way better than nothing!
Anything will be better than nothing. I've never had them before so quiet excited. Jesus im getting old . I just realised I completly forgot to take pics of the rest of the install. It was dam cold in workshop till I put the fire on.
Well I must say I now love these grips and wish i had come over to the warm hands club years ago. Makes my morning ride in so much nicer.
