I noticed my local hein gericke was open again the other day after it had been shut for a few days guessing that they had finally closed after going into administration, so I popped in and asked what was happening with the shop and was told that J&S had bought out about 10 of the old hein gericke shops.
Not sure if thats a good thing or not. of course for the staff it is but my local J&S is rather poo and the HG store in Bristol has never had much in there for years. u see something u like and it needs to be ordered in FFS
Just read my local H&G store in Maidstone is one of the stores acquired by J&S. I think it's good not only for the staff but to also keep Laguna on their toes with prices, if not they would have very little competition
I agree with you Dave we have an infinity shop about 200m from the hein gericke and it does keep them on their toes with pricing! Your right Remal in that the last few years hein gericke's stock was getting less and they seemed to concentrate on clothes more than parts which was what they used to be really good at, the down side of j&s is that all you'll see is clothes stock that is 2 years plus out of date or frank Thomas gear which I thought had gone bankrupt
Did you know you can only see 2 things on planet Earth from the moon? One is the Great Wall of China and the other is the Frank Thomas returns queue.
