Helibars arrived today, fitting will commence when in fae work, Anyone fitted a set got any pointers on how easy it is or hard it is, or just general help?? cheers Daz
I fitted mine on Saturday. Took just under an hour to do, no problems at all, and have absolutely transformed the bike. I had hoped for a noticeable improvement, but they have made the SP feel like a totally different bike. I took it for a test drive on Sunday, and after 150 twisty miles, I didn't want to come home.
I didn't fit mine, as I'd have messed it up, but I agree with GB, they have transformed the bike, I can now ride for hours very happily, whereas before I'd get wrist pain within 30 min. They had to fit some longer bradded lines than the ones already on there, but as far as I know that was the only issue.
Mine were not the standard hoses, so whoever put them on had not left much slack, so when the bars were fitted they were tight. Better safe than sorry, I just got some slightly longer lines fitted.
