Let me introduce myself properly. My name is Ben and I am the GM for HM Quickshifter. I joined this forum yesterday after reading many comments about the Blades so decided to join and start asking my own questions then after a few pm's between myself and a mod and a respected member I thought best to introduce myself so you all know who I am. My main reason on here is not to advertise and sell but to get the information I require and become a member of what looks like from the outside a great forum and one I would like to be a part off so for me to do so this is a necessary step to take so you all know who you are dealing with. I'm more than happy to to act as HM Quickshifter on here and answer any questions or give advice but I see Arthur is all ready doing that job fantastically and I wish to take nothing away from him and sought his permission before posting this as I would happily have stayed in the bushes with this so to speak so Im here to help as well should it be needed. Just to put a few things in place so we are all clear and on the same page I will not be drawn in to any online arguments about our products and services or others for that matter but will happily talk all day on the phone to help and do what we can as Im sure many have heard just how far we go for our customers, both old and new regarding our products only. I will not comment on other brands shifters AT ALL so please do not ask me too. Dont bait me either please as I will not respond I want more to be a part of this forum for myself and my own gains but will happily help out when and if needed Hopefully that comes out as intended Ben
Nice intro Ben, Many on here and using your QS and I may be one in the near future also. Always good to have member's on her that can help out. And hope we can all get you to buy a blade soon so you can see how much fun we are having ourselves. What bike do you have now or had int he past
Thanks Remal. I dont currently have a bike and my last was a Yam R6. It was great fun but I had to ring its little neck to have any fun with it. Im now looking, well have been for some time tbh but time is not a friend off mine lol but I want to push myself now and grab one but with our pathetic summer being what it is I may have missed the boat this year???? Fair weather rider me, always have been My fave bike I have ever had and regretted selling ever since was a 95 Aprilia RS250 Chesterfield. That was a 140mph pocket rocket and was the most fun I have EVER had on 2 wheels and I have ridden a lot of bikes
Many on here are a fair weather riders including myself. one thing u will like about the blade is the mid range grunt of the thing. not need to have to rev the nuts off the thing. over 4k and it's very fun indeed
Hi Ben, Welcome to the forum, and as an owner of one of your fine quickshifters I'd just like to say thank you for a great fun product
Thanks Ben, and glad your here... Your just a little late to have helped with the hundred or so HM questions....lol I think all the members know how much I love the HM and how good it is, shame I am too tight to offer my blade for test rides so those that dont know how good it is can have a taste of the good stuff...lol! Anyway welcome
Hi Toby , great to see you here , i am running HM QS on both my bikes top bit of kit you have there . keep up the good work i had a mate asking about your auto blip function just yesterday i have not used that so passed him on to the singapore importer to get some answers . cheers shane
Welcome! Hoping to get one of your QS on my track bike after reading what the guys on here have been saying about them.
The Auto Blip is a system in itself and not one that is part of the HRC ECU. What was his question? They are good guys at Worx motorsport in Singapore Thanks for the welcomes again
Hi and welcome to the forum, I am so pleased I bought my HM Quickshifter off Arthur it is brilliant, the shift has been faultless and I love it to bits I have nothing to add except I need a shorter shift rod after fitting the Gilles rearsets but have been to busy to order one ! Hope you like the mad house dig in and enjoy
Hello Toby, Another HM QS user here - I fitted it myself, then when my bike was having a mid life overhaul at Padgetts they re-fitted / fitted it same as JOhn McGuiness and co (and set it up correctly to only be one way) and its ace - even better since I had new (genuine C&S) fitted - Clive def. knows his stuff. I was even able to advise a mate with an RC8 about the adjustment as his bike kept stalling when he put it into 1st - he replied 'I really do need to read manuals more of the time, thanks' I've also heard good reports of your customer service where cables got damaged and purchasers needed support they got it. Also like the fact that bar the plug in loom its a product you can keep and take from bike to bike - even fit to a BMW S1000rr I hear.... (Which I find a bit gutless compared to the blade)
Yes, they fits many of the modern bikes nowadays. Infact I have a BMW coming in Friday with a Desmo to have shifters fitted. I always get pics of the bikes that come in as I like to have them for myself and I will put them up here for you guys to see too if you would like to see them. Clive is a great guy and one of the nicest you will meet in the paddock, we are very lucky he likes and rates our product so highly. We have been working with him for some time. Customer service is one of our highest priorities, I wish I could say we make 100% of our customers happy but I would be lying if I did, its more like 99.9% to be fair but we do our best to try to achieve 100% customer satisfaction.
Will add some pics of how its fitted to my bike - could be useful for others Hope they help - shows care Padgetts took with small rubber loops to prevent wire getting damaged
Nice install. Quick question and it might be the camera angle, but can the sensor rotate freely a little on the rose joints??? What I mean is if you put a finger and thumb on the sensor are you able to twist it and the whole assembly including rod and rose joints and a little bit of movement in it.
Ben, There is a little twistability, but not much, maybe 2 / 3 mm - is the control module waterproof - I ride my bike through all sorts (including 2" of mud in the alps after a landslide / torrential rain and worry its a little exposed. I also think at times I need to reduce the presure needed before the cut - just not looked at how to do this yet but sure its possible.
