Has anybody got Helmet & Leather cover on their insurance policy and have a copy of the terms & conditions for such.

I have tried searching the net for such but can't find T&C's.

I was interested to know if your equipment is covered whilst riding on the track ?

It looks like your helmet and leathers are covered so long as it's current with your insurance policy.
For example if your just insured for the road that's where your covered,
Track bike insurance I believe you can pay as a one off for that day. I presume leathers and helmet would incur an extra premium.

If you do a track day, take your plate off at the gate... If you bin it in spectacular fashion... Get the bike home and say you've done it on the queens highway!!

    Just a thought???

MCE my insurer does a £99 for the day track cover premium.....but its for only 50% value of bike...... dont seem worth it to me, having come off in Sept at Silverstone.....live by the risks i say or get a track day bike...yes i thought of covering up with "i fell off up the road" but the days of a simple con has gone unless it gets nicked ?....UMMMM NOW THATS A THOUGHT ! LOL............anyhow lots of wheeling and dealing has got my baby being sorted........

Track day cover is pants too. Not worth the paper its written on. They only cover for total loss which means you have to write of the frame. Do you realise how hard that is to do when there is no raised kerbs, bus shelters, telegraph poles ect to hit. 90% of trackday accidents are fairing damage onll along with things like bars and levers.

They will only pay out if its a cat a or b write off. cat c or d and you get no payout.

I did say 90% of all trackday accidents. How the heck did you manage that?

Thanks for all the comments but I think people may have misunderstood me unfortunately.

I know my insurance does'nt cover me on track and I know you an buy an add on policy or purhcase stand alone insurance to cover you on track but my question was :- Does anybody know if the helmet & leathers optional cover you can add to your policy is exclsuive to road use or is damage to helmet and leathers that occured on track covered ?

Hopefully I have explained myself better this time, ha ha LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!! sorry for any confusion on my part.
