Hi Don't know if anyone else has experienced this but I'm having issues changing up from 4th to 5th under hard acceleration, occasionally it won't go into gear. This doesn't happen all the time but is really frustrating. The bike is in race shift with a hm quickshifter which is set up right. Anyone any ideas?
Sadly in my experience Honda gear boxes aren't the best, I had the same issues with mine which started with 4th to 5th but eventually 3rd to 4th went too. I know theres a few threads on here where people have had the same but by no means does it effect all Blades.. You could try a number of things, a gear shift support, different rearsets, being more positive when changing, swap you riding boots for slippers, swap your bike for a Yamaha or have the gear box shimmed. Again and only imo i don't think the HM quick shifter will be helping and will eventually destroy your gearbox but many will argue otherwise. Its a propa pain but best of luck getting it sorted buddy...
Get you oil changed and see if it improves. My bike came with Putoline Dx4 and when I changed to Silkolene super it was much nicer and the engine even seemed quieter. I have some silkolene/fuchs pro energy here for the next change which apparently makes a big difference again and according to Fuchs can increase bhp by a couple of percent!!
